I recently purchased the SM800C 30" Plotter and I am having issues with it cutting properly. It seems that when it cuts a design, the blade only comes in contact with the vinyl at some points and doesnt even touch the vinyl in others, skipping entire segments (even in fonts). It also cuts right through the design. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ive adjusted the pressure and speed, mybest performance is at 150g of pressure and at 25 for speed, but the problem still persists.
BTW I'm using WinPCsign, and this issue comes up with all designs including plain text AND imported .ai/.eps files. |

HELLO, check your cutters carriage head, (the unit that your blade fits in) Make sure it is seated properly in the track it travels in, i have heard sometimes in shipment, it can come out, this will cause what you are explaining. Go to this link and right click the link that says (click hear) and save it to your computer, this will show you how to put it back in place if this is your problem,
Hope this helps.......... |
