I have a SM-15 cutter. It does not even move the head down to the cut surface unless the cut pressure is set at 90 or above. It seems to cut fine at 120, but it seems odd that the head does not descend at all on lower pressure settings.
Is this normal operation??

Mine cuts at 160-170 depending on what type of vinyl used.
