Hi Pierre,
How do I make text curve. For example a word that is say shaped like a bow tie (wide either end but thin in middle)I am sure I have done it before with the P cut but cant find how.

Please help

Make your path and write your text ,Select the path and the text .
Use the function Text->Fit text to path
