We have a SignMax RS232C vinyl cutter which we would like to use through LPT1 rather than a com port. Is this possible? We are not having any success going through our com ports (when we click on start the program just stalls and never cuts).
Also, we notice that the RS232C is not on the plotter list. In the past we've selected RS800C/30 on our old computer and had it work without much difficulty. Is this normal?

You have a Signmax cutter that you want to connect with RS232C serial cable thought Lpt1 ? THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE.!!
You need to connect on COM1, COM2, COM4 etc You can also use a USB-Serial adapter.
This movie will help you:
